In the Heart of Palermo, a World of Cities

Just a few steps from the Quattro Canti in the heart of the Historic Center, Farm in Palermo is housed within the former Convent of the Crociferi with a wonderful Cloister. It will host Countless Cities, the Museum of World Cities, to gain a deeper understanding of the history of cities, considered humanity's greatest invention.

Landmarks

  • Millo

Millo is one of the most internationally recognized street artists, known for his large-scale murals exploring themes of community, empathy, and urban transformation.

  • Livable Cities require Peace, Freedom, and Rights

Contemporary wars and authoritarian regimes destroy public spaces, fracture communities, and turn cities into places of fear and silence. This exhibition invites a collective reflection on how the absence of peace, freedom, and human rights makes cities unlivable — leaving behind ruins, both visible and invisible.

  • A Platform for Change

There’s no magic formula for making a city more beautiful or livable — what feels like a dream to some may be a nightmare to others. Cities are complex, ever-evolving places shaped by diverse identities, needs, and aspirations; this exhibition explores what truly makes a city successful and desirable for its people.

Ex Carcere San Vito Agrigento. Here, where everything seemed to be over, a new story has just begun.

The historic opening of Farm Cultural Park in the former San Vito Prison in Agrigento marks a new chapter in the city’s urban regeneration. Closed for over 30 years, the site has been transformed into a vibrant cultural hub for contemporary art, creativity, and social innovation. Granted in temporary use by the Agenzia del Demanio, the project aims to revive a symbolic space, enrich the local cultural landscape, and attract global creatives and visitors.

“"One of the greatest joys of traveling and also of life is to come across something unexpected and so wonderfully upsetting, in the middle of what appears to be a desolate place, completely changes the idea of what is possible".”
