Bring FARM to your City

FARM CULTURAL PARK — CALL FOR CITIES 2027
APPLY BY 31 DECEMBER 2026

FARM works with municipalities, universities, foundations, businesses and active communities to transform underused places into living centers for culture, education and social innovation.

“Vuoi far atterrare FARM nella tua città?”

FARM collabora con comuni, università, fondazioni, imprese e comunità attive per trasformare luoghi sottoutilizzati in centri vivi di cultura, educazione e innovazione sociale.

Why bring FARM to your City?

REACTIVATE A PLACE

Transform an abandoned or underused building into a vibrant cultural destination: a place people can experience, inhabit and make their own.

Trasformare un edificio abbandonato o sottoutilizzato in una destinazione culturale viva: un luogo da vivere, abitare e sentire come proprio.

BUILD A COMMUNITY

Bring together citizens, schools, institutions, artists, businesses and local organisations around a shared vision for the future of their city.

Riunire cittadini, scuole, istituzioni, artisti, imprese e organizzazioni locali intorno a una visione condivisa per il futuro della città.

CREATE LASTING CHANGE

Turn culture and education into powerful tools for social and urban transformation, generating new opportunities that continue well beyond the life of a single project.

THREE WAYS TO BRING FARM TO YOUR CITY

  • FARM CONSULATE

A locally managed cultural space designed and curated by FARM. Artists, architects and creative practitioners transform an indoor or outdoor site into a distinctive place for culture, education and community life.

Each Consulate develops its own identity and name — the Consulate of Happiness, Knowledge, the Future or another concept inspired by its mission.

ONE VISION, THREE LEVELS OF TRANSFORMATION

The most suitable model depends on the place, the available resources, the strength of the local partnership and the impact the city aims to generate. FARM works alongside each partner to identify the most appropriate path and adapt it to the local context.

What kind of place can become FARM?

FARM can take shape almost anywhere: in a former school, convent, prison, factory or public office; an abandoned theatre, an unfinished building, a disused railway station or a forgotten space in the heart of a city.

It can inhabit a historic palace, a rural village, a public housing complex, a library to be reinvented or even an open landscape.

The type of building matters less than its potential. We look for places with a story, a strong relationship with their community and the capacity to become new centers for culture, education and collective life.

WHAT THE PLACE NEEDS

Applicants must demonstrate legal and material availability of the proposed property for the entire duration of the partnership.

They must also identify the financial resources required to make the building safe, accessible and operational, and demonstrate the existence of a committed local partnership capable of supporting the project over time.

EVERY FORGOTTEN PLACE CAN HOLD A NEW FUTURE

FARM does not simply occupy buildings. It reveals their possibilities, gives them a new identity and brings them back into the life of the city.
